The downside is there is a cable attached to your finger, which may be annoying for some people. Oximeter data just comes in with your normal CPAP import.

If you want top of the line, the much more expensive CPAP oximeter attachments produced by ResMed & Philips Respironics also work (with their perspective machines), and these allows you to skip the separate import process. Later on SleepyHead will support "Live" mode for these, which will give a photoplethysomogram option (that requires a computer running to record overnight), which is not possible on the plain F or I models, as they share a connector between the USB port and the finger sensor. There is an CMS50IW (and FW) model that has bluetooth as well, but that mode of transfer is not supported yet. The watch typed ones with the rubber sensors (like the CMS50F or I) are much more comfortable than the finger clip types (like the CMS50D+ / CMS50E / CMS50H). The older CMS50F's (pre v3.7 firmware) are supported too, but aren't as good (this is what I have). The CMS50F (firmware 3.7+) is also a reasonable lower-cost choice, minus the multiple sessions and extra P.I. For the money, it is a pretty good choice. The Contec CMS50I supports multiple sessions, provides Perfusion Index graph and has a decent inbuilt system clock.
